    The Belgian Soldier

Everything changed in the Great War

In this exhibition, we show how the Belgian army evolved in the period between 1914 and the end of the war.
We consider the major changes that led to a standard uniform. But we also show the many attempts by the army to respond to the soldiers’ specific needs, often with surprising results.
The exhibition ends with a poignant image – a universal scene – that radiates the hope of NO MORE WAR.
